The new add on module for SMS BlueNote can now combine the monitoring of iSeries and AS/400 message queues with monitoring of the "Event log" from all Windows (NT, 2000 & XP) Server and Workstations in the network.
A small pc client is simply installed on each connected Server or Workstation and it will act as a "probe" for the SMS BlueNote monitoring module located on the iSeries or AS/400. All events (Errors, Warnings or Information) from the server/workstation in question will be transferred to SMS BlueNote on your AS/400 or iSeries. The filter program will ensure that it is only the important messages - e.g. disk error or virus warnings – that are forwarded as SMS to the IT operator on duty.

The PC client communicates with the iSeries or AS/400 via TCP/IP. That enables you to monitor on any Windows 2000, XP & NT Server or Workstation that is a part of your company network. You can consequently monitor Servers or Workstations that is located in offices anywhere in the countryside.
